I saw this recipe for Nigel Slater’s Chicken with Apricots and Coconut Milk and did a happy dance. It’s all at once creamy without being heavy and packed with flavor because lemongrass and coconuts are a divine combo. You know I have to do my recipe remixes, so I’d add purple potatoes, or jasmine rice, brown rice or even Asian noodles. Either way, it’s all delicious!

Yes, there is an art and a science to roasting and brewing coffee. Think of it as the other end of the geek/nerd spectrum. If you’ve had the pleasure of understanding the origins and preparation of coffee beans into a cup, then you’ve experienced pure bliss. Did you know the color of your mug enhances the taste of what you drink? Orange or cream is the best.

Go to a cooking demonstration, watch a travel show that features a local meal. Attend a Meet-Up Group. It’s a wonderful way to make new friends.

Now here’s a simple dessert that looks very elegant. It’s great for a brunch, baby shower, etc. Adding the fruit is a great way to ensure it veers on the healthier side. You can substitute the ice cream with Greek yogurt (adding a sweetener to taste) if you make it in advance and you’re feeling ambitious!
