Perhaps the public pressure had a little something something to do with the Iranian government’s decision to issue a 2-year suspended sentence, but the American journalist has been released. Even Secretary of State Clinton seemed a bit perplexed how it happened at a press conference held earlier. Either way it’s good news for the [...] For all the women whose lives are the exception to this, count yourselves fortunate! This is for the woman who finds herself in a bind because her alimony or child support hasn’t come through or is non-existent, who may not have a six-figure income and who may be relying on some sort of assistance [...] Keira Knightly filmed this anti-violence advert presumably to decry assaults on women. While the intention was noble I’m just not feeling it. Whoever the creative director was has clearly not had any involvement with actual domestic violence survivors – or just doesn’t get it.
