Healthy parents = healthy children. My Blog Name [...] Keira Knightly filmed this anti-violence advert presumably to decry assaults on women. While the intention was noble I’m just not feeling it. Whoever the creative director was has clearly not had any involvement with actual domestic violence survivors – or just doesn’t get it. This advert just seems like a glamorized version of violence to [...] Oprah’s Thursday episode she asked Tyra BanksĀ to be her co-host as they discussed dating violence amongst teens. Is it being petty to point out that with such a serious discussion someone really should have talked to Tyra about her how distracting her hair (too many blonde highlights with the wig) and makeup (she looked [...] This is not a time to be playing Donnie Hathaway/Roberta Flack’s song “Back Together Again”. You know I was going to write a long-winded but poignant post about domestic violence, how the lives of Black women and girls are in constant peril and about how (some) Black people will make all kinds of excuses [...] |
