Inspirational Quotes Series: Napoleon Hill

All the breaks you need in life wait within your imagination.

Imagination is the workshop of your mind, capable of turning mind energy into accomplishment and wealth.

~~ Napoleon Hill
Hill authored the seminal self-development book Think & Grow Rich more than 100+ years ago. How can you become an expert sailor coasting on still waters? How do you know what you’re made of without being tested? Despite what many of us see as multiple and insurmountable obstacles, if we truly TRUST we will conquer them. Or at least learn how to work past them much quicker. This is why we should consider ourselves surfers from now on. Riding over the waves of life instead of focusing on the wipe-outs.

  1. I just finished my audio edition (it was abbreviated). I really enjoyed it. It offered sound advice, as well as encouragemnt. I believed in those principals but have allowed “life” to steal some of my steam. It’s just what I needed.

I will be starting “The 7 Habits”, today. After I finish that, I may download Hill’s complete book. It’s amazing what you can cover while listening during small trips in your car.

One thing I have bemoaned is not having many people of like mind around me. Hill has inspired me to buckle down and focus and position myself to create a mastermind alliance of my own.

Btw, I finished the Tubman book. I really enjoyed and appreciated it also. I’m now reading a book, “The Politics of the Presidency”. I’ll read the other book I mentioned later. It makes me feel so much better, understanding the world around me, PARTICULARLY, when I am called upon to make decisions or have an opinion. Reading this book makes me miss my major and want to become more engaged in the political process aside from voting.

    1. I find reading enlightening and challenging books is a great way to grow. I believe there's a Napoleon Hill Society of forward-thinkers you can connect with. I'm so disgusted with this election and the lack of accountability due to mass settlement/ask for nothing complex going around.

      1. I'm interested in hearing the debates between the candidates and learning what they profess to offer. But, talk is cheap. I would be happy to learn of ways BW could get substantive results. We certainly won't get that, if we become socially irrelevant.

  2. These days I have no choice but to be a surfer because I’m studying for my degree in Accounting AND working at the same time and halfway through the degree program. In the near future I’d like to work for one of the Big Four but preferrably for no longer than five years as my long term goal will be to do accounting and txes for my own clients by myself but using a ‘face’ system.

    1. I love the idea of becoming an “expert” then owning your own. I wish you the BEST!
