I can say that women who choose a lower quality mate will have many hardships as that person pops a tiny hole in the balloon of their lives. More and more air will seep out as the woman’s life has been negatively impacted and slowly deflates.

Karen, you are not alone in your recognition of how Black men verbally assault and demean Black women every day. This is a battle I've been fighting for many years now. Sistahs, understand that the more we join together and present a united front against mistreatment, harassment, denigration and condemnation, the more powerful we are. The majority will not be saved (they are too invested in what ultimately hurts them).

The challenge for the new decade is to "not look back". For those that want a different life, all that can be done now is to support their efforts to join that life-giving path.

Last rites are already being conducted on the BC (a look to the outcome of the elections for the Atlanta Mayor is the final warning akin to the canary in the mineshaft).

not so that we may add to it as a tale of woe but use it as a means of reevaluating how far off the life-giving path many black women have gone and the non-beneficial thoughts and deeds that have led to this misdirection.

Quoted for truth. Ths has been the biggest wake up for me: realizing that what I thought were landmarks were just landmines.
