About

The concept of engaging in acts of faith may seem secular or radical to some but it is at it’s heart about love. Love of self demands respect and consideration of one’s needs. It means self-care and setting boundaries. It means being unbound by external or internal limitations. How we determine to live and the decisions we make have a huge impact of the quality of time we have on this earth. Let’s make the best of it!

Thanks to all the readers who’ve followed me to my new blogging platform! Welcome to those new to the conversation.

I am a writer, cultural critic, human rights advocate and social media marketer. I enjoy a variety of music, quality foods, seek to expand myself via travel and lover of humankind. I want to use technology to reach out to people worldwide. I am most interested in combining entertainment with advocacy.

We need more compelling images of women and in particular of African-American women being shown as three-dimensional dynamic women. Not overburdened, long-suffering and self-sacrificing to their detriment. Definitely not as over-sexed or asexual superwomen.

I seek reciprocating justice across the board across gender, class and race constructs as well as advocating for LGBT rights. There are times that will require a subtle approach but often it demands being more upfront and pushing back on established comfort zones.

I look forward to continuing this journey and hope that you will join me. For private emails I may be contacted at faithdow@gmail.com.
