I Don’t Know How This Year Slipped By So Fast! It’s Time For Holiday Celebrations Again.

The Hubble Telescope revealed a beautiful nebula in space.

In case I missed telling you lovely friends, enjoy your Christmas, Kwanzaa, Festivus, Diwali, Ramadan, Channukah and whatever non-secular rituals you celebrate. Be at peace, rested, have fun and recharge for 2013 awaits. We don’t know what the future holds – unless you’re a Mayan predicting the END. Like I said on the blog Facebook page earlier, I’m really not feeling “it” this year. Whatever it is one thinks one should feel during a holiday that’s supposed to center around intact families, loving relationships and wonder for newbies and youngsters escapes me right now. It has admittedly been an excruciating year for me – hence all of the Inspirational posts and while I have no idea when the tide will turn, I will take the bits of happiness I can grab.  If your biggest problem is deciding what to wear, what to buy or where to go for your celebrating consider yourselves very fortunate indeed. This isn’t oppression Olympics or wallow time. If someone needs help and you can spare your time or treasure then do it. If you can make a phone call to offer encouragement, give it. If you need reminding certain issues you’re having are clearly 1st world problems, get some perspective. If you’re under water you’ll find something to bring you to the surface. Life is very imperfect. Very. We love people who don’t reciprocate. We take advantage of others. We complain over trivial matters. We can lose hope if we’re not careful. Keep going. Let it go. Take deep breaths. Believe in yourself above all else.

*P.S. Thanks for letting me be a little cranky because we can’t always be happy-go-lucky or in a fake “zen”state either.

Inspirational Quotes Series: C. JoyBell C.

Choose your battles wisely. After all, life isn’t measured by how many times you stood up to fight. It’s not winning battles that makes you happy, but it’s how many times you turned away and chose to look into a better direction. Life is too short to spend it on warring. Fight only the most, most, most important ones, let the rest go.”
